      How to Get New Parts Listed Online

      When your location needs to add new parts online, there’s a specific process to follow so that product information is complete, accurate, and formatted correctly for our system. This article outlines everything your team needs to provide.

      🔹 Step 1: Request New Parts for Online Listing

      When you decide you want to put new parts online, they need to be in Visual first. Please email Julia Hartley to confirm which products you want to make available online.

      Once confirmed, the eCommerce team will pull basic product details from Visual, including part numbers, descriptions, pricing, and weights.

      If additional information is needed — such as specifications, product attributes, or images — the site will be asked to update the Attribute Template with the missing details.

       

      🔹 Step 2: Complete or Update the Attribute Template

      Once the initial data is populated, the Attribute Template will be shared with the site for review.

      Please update any missing fields and add any additional details specific to your product type before returning it for import.

      ✅ Product Information Checklist

      When requesting new parts online, please ensure the following are complete or available:

      • Product Name – Full name as it should appear online
      • Part Numbers List – Include all valid part numbers
      • Active in Visual – Confirm part is active with pricing
      • Complete Attribute Template – Fill out all specs in the provided Excel file
      • Product Images – High-quality images
      • Pricing / Tiers – Base and tiered pricing
      • Shipping Weight – Accurate weight 

      🔹 Step 3: Submit for Import

      Once your Attribute Template is complete:

      1. Save your filled-out Excel file.

      2. Email it to Julia Hartley

      3. Include any pricing documentation or supporting details.

      🔹 Step 4: Review & Launch

      After import, the eCommerce team will:

      • Confirm that all products display correctly.

      • Send you a link for review.

      • Publish the parts online once confirmed.

      • Notify you when the listing is live.
