Where can you find Customer Documents?
Customer Documents can be found in Custom Objects within the main navigation tab, Contacts.
Creating Customer Documents
Step 1
Navigate to a Company record you wish to associate a customer document to and select the +Add button to create a new Customer document.
The customer document association card (pictured below) will be located on the right-hand side of a company record.
Step 2
A menu will pop up, giving you the option to input details of the document.
Document Title may be formatted to include
The Document type dropdown determines which fields are displayed for setting up Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), allowing you to input specific details relevant to LTAs only.
Once you have input all the necessary information, click on the 'Create Customer Document' button to create the document. immediately following, you will be redirected to the newly created customer document record. If you selected Create and add another, you will be prompted to create a new customer Document another
Step 3
To link the document to the newly created Customer Document record, click on the "Add" button in the attachments card located at the top right-hand section of the record.
A menu will appear, giving you the option to upload new documents from your computer.
Step 4
In addition to the associations set up in the Customer Document form during creation, consider setting up extra associations to ensure the document appears in all the relevant places as needed. Add all applicable associations to enhance the visibility of this record, including Contacts, Companies, and Megagroups.
To include additional associations, simply click on the +Add buttons next to each association card within the Customer Document record.
Bonus: Step 5
Utilize the Customer Document record to keep track of upcoming meetings related to the contract. For instance, you can create tasks within the customer document record to prompt follow-ups with specific individuals. Leveraging the task and note features in your Customer Document records can help streamline the process and ensure you receive automated notifications as important contract milestones approach.
